This certificate will allow you to teach students how to fly an airplane solely by reference to instruments.
You’ll learn how to teach weather, instrument procedures, how the instruments operate, rules and regulations, and instrument flight planning.

Typical Timelines
Before beginning this certification, you will have completed the single-engine certified flight instructor certification. By the time you complete this training, you will typically have accrued an additional 15 hours of flight time over the span of 1-2 months.
